The weekday standard
I make these most often. The original recipe called for 8 buns, but they were so large I tend to go with 12 or 16. The bake time doesn’t change really.
I consider the sesame seeds as required.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1 cup warm water 105 degrees
3 tbsp sugar
1 egg
3 tbsp melted butter
1 pound flour (454 grams)
1 tsp olive oil
1.5 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
Plenty of sesame seeds
Put everything in the mixer and combine
Knead 6 to 8 minutes
Rise an hour
Shape and rise 45-60 minutes
Bake 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes
