Buttermilk Pancakes

Our standard pancake

Butter milk, powder or milk with white vinegar/lemon juice all work here.


Letting these sit for 10 minutes after mixing makes all the difference.

Ingredients:

Wet:

2 cups buttermilk

1/4 cup sour cream (or most often yogurt)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled a bit (I add this last most times)
2 large eggs

2 tablespoons sugar

Dry:

2 cups AP flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tbsp oil for the griddle

Put all the wet ingredients in a bowl mix and then add the dry on top mix again then let rest (use one bowl)
