Birthday or any day really
Makes two 9 inch cakes
This cake is quick to put together and honestly pretty great. Put everything in the bowl in this order kinda pour all the dry on top and mix it all before stirring it into everything else.
Ingredients:
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk (12oz)
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 vegetables oil or half apple sauce
1 1/2 cups sugar (10.5oz)
1 1/2 cup 7.5oz all purpose flour
1 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Oven at 325
Cut parchment to put at the bottom of the round pans
oil or butter the pans so the cakes come out
Mix until combined with no dry flour not too much
Divide batter between pans
Bake 35 minutes or clean toothpik
Flip out of pans after 15 min
Ice after an hour.
Vanilla buttercream frosting option
4 sticks of butter softened
1/4 cup 2oz heavy cream
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 salt
4 cups 1 lb powdered sugar
